FERRULE

The plastic, horn or metal piece at the end of the cue shaft attached to the cue tip

FORCE

The power put onto the cue ball on a stroke; can lead to alteration of angles and action of the ball

FOUL

A breach of the play rules according to the official snooker rules; fouls usually end in penalties

FRAME

One game of snooker

FREE BALL
